Gopaldas Neeraj: Time to start a religion like this

English Translation follows the Gazal/poem

Hello friends!!

Sorry for writing after a week almost and not able to follow your blogs, due to some urgency, hopefully I will do it now…. also wanna let you know that you will get to know, who is Gopal das and why he is loved by people, in the next post.

By that time please meet his great person through his words.

He was fed up with the people fighting in the name of religion, here he says here that this is time to start a new religion which can educate a Human to be a Human. Such flowers are need of the day, to be planted in every direction, which can refresh even the neighbourhood. Here the fire is flowing whether it is Ganga (the holy river of India) or Jhelam(a Holy river in India), somebody please tell me where to go to take bath?? We need to call all the darks into light, to understand why the love was killed?? I wish that you can feel my pain, if I am hungry then you can also not eat. Even if we have two bodies but our hearts must be one in the way that my tears can be wiped from your eyes. And if the songs are sad/poem is quiet/rubayi is crying, then call Neeraj to make them rocking to entertain you 🙂

  1. Thanks for sharing this poem. I had read it before. Icing is you have provided an English meaning for Non Hindi readers. This is awesome.
I too adore this Poet: Neeraj! I adore his song कारवाँ गुज़र गया गुबार देखते रहे from movie: Nai Umar Ki Nae Fasal!
This poem too has been translated by me in English, a crude one, hence never thought of Posing it on my Blog. But reading your Blog here I feel a few Niraj Fans may still like it despite its poor quality. 😊

    Liked by 1 person

        1. Thank you so much … just wanna spread a message for humanity and a small effort to make different cultures meet through literature :)… and my kind readers like you are contributing into that as well 🙂
