Martyrs of Pulwama, Kashmir

It was written in the memory of Martyrs from Pulwama on Feb 14, 2019, attack on the Army basement in Kashmir.

Poet Bhupendra from Bhilwara, Rajasthan says that

Long Live — Martyrs of Pulwama

What do you know?

Those eyes which used to look on the paths

How will you get to know their value?

Those mothers who have lost their sons

How will you know their courage?

Sisters have lost their life partners

How will you know their ornamentation?

Those who were ready to be married

How will you get to know about their fate?

Those who gave their lives for their mother land

How will you get to know about their service?

Those who are martyrs of their country

How will you get to know about their relations?

When will you take time away from your selfish interests?

How will you get to know about their respect?

Leave the greed for the power

How will you know about their hard work?

Those eyes which used to wait at on the way

How will you get to know their value?

Those mothers who have lost their piece of hearts

How will you get to know of their strengths?

  1. I was sitting numb for a minute or so after reading this poem. This probably happens to me on reading such heart touching poems on martyrs. Thanks Rachna for sharing it here. And just curious, the hand written copy page: Is it your hand-writing? So you have this hobby of collecting Poems that you love? Stay blessed.
