Not seen!!

By Bashir Badra

Englisg translation by Rachana Follows

It always remained in the eyes, never landed up in the heart

The Passenger of ship has never seen the Sea

If I will go untimely everybody will be astonished

It has been ages since when I have not seen home

Since when I have started my eyes are on the target

My eyes have never seen the mile stone

I have got these flowers in inheritance

You have never seen my bed full of thorns

I have trusted the love shown by the friends

But missed to see the dagger hidden in the flowers

Whether it is the house of my love or the lands of ancestors

I have never looked back towards whatsoever I have left once

The letter has been written as if the gems are set on it

By the hands which have never been introduced with ornaments

My beloved calls me a stone

I am wax, he has never tried to touch me
