This Week At Bungie – 4/07/2022> News

This week at Bungie we talk about pixels and the fundraising event Kilts for Kids!

Welcome to your first April 2022 installment of TWAB. Yes, you read that right! We are already in the fourth month of the year. Time flies and we can only wonder why. Maybe it’s the fact that we’re sending out an expansion in February, or a weekly search for the Deepsight weapons we’ve been launching. In any case, Destiny 2 remains strong.

Gambit Labs went live earlier this week. Invasion Swap has been getting us great rumors for counter-dunking and invasion methods and we’m excited to see the data and feedback as it comes in. We had a bit of a hiccup on Tuesday as the Pinnacle award for playing three games was not appearing, but the team quickly released a fix to a server to get you the right award. Paired with a double Gambit rep, it’s a great week to complete some seasonal challenges for Bright Dust and earn a cool Gambit-themed award.

Grandmaster Nightfalls have also returned and bring our toughest strike material back into the group. We’ve had a little explanation for some of the patch notes since we started dealing with them Acute burns. In Destiny 2 Update 4.0.0.1 it was incorrectly stated that this burn was not present in Grandmaster difficulty. Acute burns are intentional and replace occasional strike changes (smaller burns along with extra shock or splash damage). New Seasonal changes (invisible enemies, etc.) are not included in the Grand Master. We have updated our patch page to reflect. That said, we strongly recommend using some basic damage resistance molds on your chest pieces when building for the difficulty.

Looking forward to next week, Iron Banner will be back. While we’re planning a bigger TWAB to cover the upcoming changes, one of our tips for you this week is to delete your Iron Banner tokens, complete your Iron Banner quest, and redeem your Iron Banner prize. We have some updates on Saladin and how he will be handing out prizes, which naturally leads to the discontinuation of the Iron Banner tokens and prizes. You have two weeks of ironing left to destroy these tokens for prizes, including next week, so be sure to schedule some time in the tower to return them before the end of the last ironing of the season. Oh, and a little update from the team: we’re looking to eliminate the talent for our last iron boards for next season. We’ve heard (and felt) the reaction that it might be a bit time consuming, so we’re changing to focus on objective and weaponry for the rest of the season. Happy fishing!

So, what else is happening this week? We are going to celebrate the upcoming collection of Kilt for Kids and have a short “story time” about a great community event that took place last weekend.

Kilt for kids

Year after year, the Bungie Foundation participates in numerous charitable projects to raise money for people in need. While hosting our own feeds and charity drive, we dive back into our favorite quilt once a year to pursue great goals in the name of child support. We have great motivations in the series, so read on to get more!

Bungie Foundation: Kilts for Kids, our annual fundraiser that supports Seattle’s Ronald McDonald House (RMHC) for 11 years! We’re usually bringing you suspects: Christine, Mark and Forrest. After two years of ordering at home, the crew was excited to take advantage of a rare sunny spring day in Seattle and put on their dresses.

Throughout the pandemic, the RMHC continued to provide exceptional care, safety and community for so many families facing serious illness and long hospital stays. Help us reach our $ 77,777 goal by visiting the RMHC donation page and voting for Team Bungie. Each vote is worth $ 10 and every $ 30 given will pay for a family to stay in the house for one night.

In addition to helping kids and families facing illness, we also have great donations *!

    • $ 50: Get it Cerisian lenses label:
        • Individual codes will be emailed to all $ 50 + donors by May 6, 2022.
    • $ 100: The prize above, plus a postcard digitally signed by our Kilts for Kids team and sent to you.
    • $ 250: All prizes above, as well as a digital copy of a new and unique work of art made by Mark Flieg himself.
    • $ 500: All prizes above, as well as a physical printout of Marks’ private business sent to you.
    • $ 1,000: All of the prizes above, as well as a studio tour of Bungie’s brand new headquarters. Our new headquarters will be ready by the end of October 2022, so we will be planning trips towards the end of the year and early 2023.
        • Take up to two guests (all travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the donor and their guests). No secrets will be revealed. Bungie employees have the right to refuse answers to any questions.

* Prizes will not be redeemed automatically, as we must receive donations from the RMHC before the prizes can be awarded. An e-mail will be sent to sponsors at the end of the event, no later than Friday 6 May with information on the redemption of prizes. Some prizes will be handed out later than this day.

Thank you for bringing hope, smiles and comfort to children in need by participating in this fun annual tradition. We can not wait to share the impact of the support with you all!

Pixel by Pixel, Place by r / Place

Last weekend was one to remember. It started small with the placement of pixels. Within minutes, it grew into a four-day community, memes, art, spades and attackers who could not stop moving their legs.

If you do not visit Reddit often, a wonderful weekend event started where all users in the world could put pixels on a table to start creating small (or large) works of art. This wonderland of expression has only appeared a few times in previous years and goes by the name r / place. While your unique efforts may be successful in the short term, this site has become home to Reddit communities (or communities in general) to gather their members to secure a seat on the board.

Now, it’s not as simple as putting pixels and calling it done. Participants could override a specific pixel location at any time (with five minutes of cooling) to “take over” places on the table, or simply bring clutter into the conversation. This leads to several things: intense social competition between million by different people from specific message boards, communities or even countries, all of whom seek to claim a place somewhere. This also results in wonderfully positive moments when communities form alliances with each other and help each other defend their artwork during the weekend.

Over the weekend, two Destiny special Reddit communities, r / DTG and r / Destiny2, took responsibility for securing a seat on the board to represent the Destiny community. With Discord chat, text messaging, chat posts and many other means of communication, the community actually locked the “Destiny 2 site” every four days. It was not just a simple triangle, and I still love the coordination between hundreds (to thousands) of participants to perform on the list below:

Congratulations to all who contributed this weekend and thank you for another year of fond memories to look back every time we review Telesto and its resilience.

STRENGTHEN PLAYERS REPORT

Make Shaxx proud.

With the news we shared last week, some of you are imagining a day when you reach Unbroken. With the help of PvP Central Guardians around the world, your imagination could one day become a reality! Our players’ support team will soon have an update below on known issues.

This is their report.

UNROTED SALE REMUNERATION

The unbroken seal and title will be discontinued at the beginning of the 19th series and will no longer be earned. Season 16 is the last chance for players to start making progress on related trials to earn the seal, including achieving Glory Rank: Legend in three different seasons.

Players who win the seal before retiring will still be able to create the title and associated gilding.

THE AIR OF THE DOCTRINE: THE CLEAR MARK AND WIN

We are currently working to give The Cleaver players a signal that ended the attack on Low of the Disciple during the overtime. Players who acquired the right to compete for the badge can expect to receive it in the week of 19 April.

KNOWN ISSUES

While we continue to research various known issues, here is a list of the most recent issues that were reported to us in our #help forum:
    • Summoner Auto Rifle Trials Reputation Awards do not include Masterwork slots.
    • Legendary PsiOps does not properly advertise the weekly Pinnacle award.
For a complete list of urgent issues in Destiny 2, players can view our article on known issues. Players who are watching for other issues should report them to our #help forum.

Someone, please, put the baby in the corner

Sam: Happy TWAB Day, Guardians! Is it just me or has this week passed as if it was taken forever and also flown by? Anyway, we hope your week was great and we have a really fun picture that we think you’ll really get out of, an amazing 8-bit song, and can anyone go check out the baby? They again seem to be harassing some guardians.

Do not let these meme dreams be dreams

Hippy: Listen, okay, I’m going to keep this real now and say that life is really hard and sometimes it’s easy to take it too seriously or miss the beautiful things in it. That’s why we’re mixing meme madness and really spectacular art. In addition to hearing that you like clutter, such as bbb bonus traffic, we’re also throwing in a great titan awesome rendition by one artist who had flaws, no – audacity – to be talented as okay. They also managed to raise these daydreams of the perfectly Exotic’d-out (that’s a word) Guardian! Not Titan main? It’s cool, this artist also has other categories in a similar style, so check out their account below!

Without further ado, let’s art!

Time for some attacks … or trials?

Thanks for checking out another TWAB. If you went through the steps in TWAB last week and knew you were signed up for Bungie Email, you’re probably getting a Mechs vs Monsters poll right now … now! Good luck to both #TeamMechs and #TeamMonsters this year. Get your vote before April 13th.
Team Monsters

Team Mechs

After you get your vote, hop on Destiny 2 for fun. This weekend looks great for soloists looking for a rehearsal, as Freelance begins tomorrow with a reset. If you’re looking for a little Wrath to add to your arsenal, this will be a fun weekend to jump into. If you’re looking for a team-oriented experience in the venue, why not jump into Raids with friends? Maybe Blueberries or two will help them win first.

Looking to the next TWAB, Master Vow of the Disciple is around the corner, starting April 19th. We will spend time preparing you. Speaking of attacks, check out next Thursday for some fun news on the upcoming 17th Series rotary engine.

Cheers,
